Hmm. It's hard for me to order my favorite movies and name my top 5. Return of the Jedi is the only one I'm sure of.
  1. Return of the Jedi
  2. Back to the Future trillogy
  3. Team America: World Police
  4. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
  5. Moulin Rouge
EDIT: Nix Forest Gump. I remembered Back to the Future after reading Fablespinners post. Back to the Future is on tv with commercials often and I'll even watch it on tv even though I have the DVD boxset.
---
Dragonball Z; the gateway drug of anime

#5.) Young Frankenstein
(Gene Wilder, Terri Garr, Cloris Leachman, Madelain Kahn, Peter Boyle)
"Hump? What hump?"

#4) Scavenger Hunt
(Richard Benjamin, James Coco, Scatman Crothers, Ruth Gordon, Cloris Leachman etc... HUGE Cast of Whos Who)
"THEY KILLED BUZZY! THEY KILLED BUZZY!"

#3) Sense and Sensibility
(Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman, Hugh Grant, Kate Winslet)
Any Word Alan Rickman Speaks is sheer Paradise. That man could read me the PHONE BOOK and I'd Swoon.

#2) Blues Brothers
(John Belushi, Dan Akroyd)
"We're on a Misson from God..."

and my most favored movie above all others? One I'll even watch on network TV with comercials if I'm flipping stations and it's airing?

#1) Trading Places
(Eddie Murphy, Dan Akroyd, Jamie Lee Curtis, Denholm Elliot)

"In Philidelphia, it's worth fifty-bucks."

^_^

----------
EDIT: There's so many more and I think you can see a trend here, I dig comedies and Hey Susie, you'd get along great with my mother. Back to the Future is one of her faves too, I got her that box set either last Christmas or the Christmas before and it's been played alot.

I also saw  Keenarnor
mention above Monty Python's "The Holy Grail" ... I think Monty Python should be required learning in schools. Way outside of the box comedy there.

But then I'm biased big time. I grew up on Monty Python's Flying Circus on PBS and my Ex-husband was an aquaintance of Eric Idle's so I met the man a few times during our marriage when he came out to LA and he's bloody brilliant! What a comedic genius!

Too bad my Ex was the sour puss in that friendship. Marriage might have lasted more than a decade then.

Eeee TMI, I'll stop there.

Yeah school would be a hell of a lot more interesting if monty python was taught. It would help my pissed off 24/7 geography teacher get  a sense of humor.

Ooh Moulin Rouge the songs in that are great especially the version of  Roxanne

and my favourite five films in no order are:

Matrix Reloaded (cause it's the one with most action)

Aliens

Return of the Jedi (Still the best Star Wars movie ever made)

Lord of the Rings: The Two towers or The Return of the King (can't decide)

Doom (that rocks)

(OMG I still haven't seen Team America World Police)

If i had to pick between the Two Towers or Return of the King, i would pick the Two Towers. The fight at Helm's Deep was awesome.
